Adaptation to EU Legislation: Focus on Small and Medium Agricultural Producers

Description

The paper contains general information about the international system Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, conditions for export of agricultural commodities to EU countries, agribusiness and EU environmental requirements. The second part of the study describes requirements in certain acts of the EU and necessary changes Ukraine has to implement in the dairy, fat, eggs, poultry, meat, honey, beverages, jam, sweets and organic production.

The experts also developed an infographic guide for agricultural producers highlighting the changes they would have to implement on their farms in accordance with the AA.

In December 2017 and January 2018, the project delivered three training sessions in Kyiv, Uzhgorod and Poltava to 170 producers, civil servants and education organizations staff from 10 oblasts of Ukraine. A presentation/manual was developed for the participants to help them further spread the knowledge they acquired.
